• Supported new infrastructure and transportation laws to create more than 40,000 good-paying jobs and improve safety
• Authored a nation-leading new law that saves consumers money by requiring manufacturers to take some responsibility for disposal of electronics

In Health Care

• Voted for reform to benefit small businesses and farmers
• Provided funding for long-term care
• Expanded  MinnesotaCare to cover 120,000 Minnesotans, including 37,000 children

For Education

• Backed $600,000 for Northern Minnesota schools
• Laid groundwork for property tax relief
• Restored funding for essential early childhood and Head Start programs
• Put the brakes on college tuition increases

• Supported new laws for veterans, active duty military and their families
